Actor Michael Douglas took to social media this week sharing sweet snaps on family vacation in India sightseeing temples with his wife Catherine and their 23-year-old son.

The Academy award-winning actor was joined by his wife and son Dylan Douglas as they jetted off to India where the famous star was honoured with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Film Festival of India. The 54th annual award show was held in the small Indian state of Goa and he was given the award by the famous Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana.

During his acceptance speech, the 79-year-old actor graciously accepted the prestigious award, thanking his adoring family for their love and support throughout his career. Michael said: "It's a tremendous honour to receive this award. It’s a career life achievement. When I heard about the award, my family and I were elated."

As Michael was already overseas to attend the ceremony, he and his family made the most of their trip by taking in all the incredible sights the country has to offer. On Tuesday, the Fatal Attraction star shared a series of snaps alongside his family as they beamed in front of one of the oldest and most famous temples in the city of Thanjavur.

In the Instagram post, Michael was all smiles as he wrapped his arm around his famous wife as they sported matching bindis on their foreheads. The family of three looked like they were having the time on their lives on the trip was they all rocked matching white, red, and yellow flower necklaces as they explored India's rich culture together.

Fans of the former Wall Street actor took to the comments of the post sharing their excitement for his family and their latest adventure. One follower commented: "Wow this is quite a surprise Michael! Happy to see you and your family visiting this iconic temple." And another wrote: "Lovely photo of you all your looking very well Michael more like your old self holiday with your lovely family is doing wonders for you great to see." And a third sweetly added: "Have fun I love seeing pics of you and the family. Its nice your getting some family time."
